Let it begin!

This weekend was jam packed with wonderful friends opening there doors to friends and best of all Discovery Toys!   We had a fantastic party on Friday night with 6 guests and a very pleasant and quaint Saturday night in with 4:)  These wonderful people come and joined in the fun to learn and explore the wonderful products that Discovery Toys has to offer!  We spent the evening learning about the incredible layers of learning that DT toys puts in each product, and the benefit they have with you child's early learning skills.  The younger parents all found the wonder in the "Supper Yummy" as it offers the bight red colour to help stimulate there visual development, the soothing smell of Vanilla that it has helps relax them and ads in developing there smell, as well the "Supper Yummy" is a soft, light, teether that is easy for a teething baby to hold and maneuver and any part of the teether can be chewed on!  With the 4 different textured nob's the baby has a variety to choose from and will pick there favorite. Its a great safe way for a child to sooth the pain of teething and work on their sense of smell, visual, and sensory development!
All in all we had a WONDERFUL weekend and Discovery Toys with Kari had a great start:)
Thank You to all the helped make my Launch weekend a success!

Let's Play

So I was able to borrow a few of my friends girls for a little while to help me play and explore the toys.  I had Bea (1.5) and Lili (4) and we had a BLAST! There were so excited to see all the toys and play with every single one! Lili was really into sorting the Busy Farm animals and did card after card.  The top selling product, Busy Learning Sets; Busy Farms, and Busy Bugs are toys geared  for 3y - primary school.  Busy Farm, which is what Lili was playing with helps with pre-reading, as well as many other developmental areas! The learn classifying, with grouping the different animals together (as in picture shown *Placing the Horses on the Square, Ducks on the Circle), the work on the concepts of Big and Small, with the deferent colours and animals you can start patterning! We had the Busy Learning Sets at one of my past daycares and I remember using them several times a day, during circles, or table activities and the children were constantly getting them out to play on there own! I just cant say enough! Each set sells for $28.00 well worth every penny!

Bea had a blast building with the Story Stacker, she had them stacking in all sorts of different ways.  She was so excited when she got the
"ta-da" moment as she stacked them in the correct order!
This Toy can do so much each piece has the correct amount of shapes with the following colour on it, for example the blue one is the bottom, #5, so it has 5 round yellow circles on the top.  What a great toy to help teach, shapes, colours, numbers, concepts such as big small, all in one toy! This one is 12m- preschool and sells for $25.00 again well worth it!

By far the favorite of the day was the GO-GO Caterpillar! the girls laughed so had as they passed it back and forth to each other and chased it around the living room! I was having so much fun with them I forgot to get a picture :P

They've Arrived!!

~The Starter Kit~

Today has been a blast! I got my kit and dove right into it! While playing with them I realized I HAD seen, and used many of these toys at the Day Care's, and remembered all the fun we had with them.  Every single one of these toys has a great educational value.  I love the quality of toys, and all the layers of learning that these toys offer.  One toy for the older group that I really liked was the 'Tricky Fingers' its a game for children 7+.
While I was exploring this game a whole group of my past school-agers came to mind, and I wished I had this then to share with them. With this game you use your fingers from the bottom side to arrange the different colored marbles in the pattern on the card.  There are 14 different cards and each card has a blank side for you to make your own patterns....not going to lie I played with this one a few times :).

The Go-Go Caterpillar! Is one of  Discovery Toys top sellers.  This toy is designed for 9m +, and has a few different stages to it.  It has the shapes and Beginning letters to help with cognitive development, it's bright colors so a lot of fun to look at and desired to play with.  With this one you can push it back and forth, or when you push it down a little ways it goes on its own and the farther you push it down the farther and faster it goes! I can't wait to a turn taking game passing it back and forth with my little 2 year old friends!

These are just 2 of the 15 AMAZING toys I received in my starter kit today. Please visit the Discovery Toys web site or comment below to find out more or find out how you to can get your hands on and share these wonderful toys!
